Clarity and cost certainty are key when tendering for removal works

As a duty holder, you are required by law to appoint a competent, HSE licensed asbestos removal contractor to undertake licensed asbestos works. This can be easier said than done, but we are here to provide peace of mind with our removal management and specification services.

HSE specifically states that survey reports should never be used as the basis for pricing removal works. A much more cost-effective approach is to have a separate asbestos removal specification written up, which will assess the risks and set out the preferred techniques for managing your ACMs.

Ideally, the specification is prepared in consultation with your building contractor and even the wider design team if you are undertaking refurbishment work, taking into account the context of the whole programme.
