BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings Training

This course provides the delegate with knowledge and skills to be able to manage asbestos in buildings and in addition the information required to be able to conduct audits.

Candidates for this course are expected to be aware of the contents of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and in particular Regulation 4 and the supporting Approved Code of Practice and guidance L143 Managing and working with asbestos.

This is an ideal course for those persons responsible for managing asbestos in a building or estate, who have no real experience within the asbestos industry.

BOHS P402 Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling (including Risk Assessment and Risk Management Strategies)

The course covers the basics of surveying of buildings for the presence of asbestos, bulk sampling and general guidance on management procedures necessary to minimise exposure to identified asbestos.

This three day BOHS proficiency course follows the BOHS P402 syllabus and is designed to equip students with the skills and practical knowledge of carrying out asbestos surveys in buildings and sampling techniques used. It also covers guidance given on the management of identified asbestos to minimise exposure. General guidance on management procedures and minimising exposure to asbestos is also given.

BOHS P403 Asbestos Fibre Counting (PCM) (including Sampling Strategies)

This 2 day course is designed for anyone wishing to carry out airborne asbestos fibre counting. Candidates will gain theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of fibre counting of asbestos air samples using phase contrast microscopy (PCM).

Candidates who wish to carry out asbestos air monitoring and clearance work (including 4-stage re-occupancy certification) will also require the P404 qualification.

BOHS P404 - Air Sampling of Asbestos and MMMF and Requirements for a Certificate of Reoccupation

This 2 day course is designed for anyone wishing to carry out asbestos air monitoring and clearance work including 4-stage re-occupancy certification following asbestos removal & treatment works. 

Candidates will gain a theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of air sampling, enclosure inspection and clearance testing and the 4-stage certificate of re-occupation.  

Candidates who wish to carry out asbestos air monitoring and clearance work (including 4-stage re-occupancy certification) will also require the P403 qualification.
